On Friday, November 20th, The Woodhaven Residents' Block Association was happy to honor Hanshi Myron M. Lubitsch as "Business Owner of the Year" - he owns and operates Shorinjiryu-kenryukan Karate.  From the souvenir journal handed out at the Dinner Dance:

The introduction was given by longtime friend Maria Thomson --

Around this time, we ran into technical difficulties -- our camera went on the fritz, and while it was being repaired we switched to the backup camera, so the next few pics are a bit grainy.  Our apologies.  Here, Sen. Joe Addabbo says hello to our Black Belt.

And here, Assemblyman Mike Miller awards a citation to Mr. Lubitsch --

And Elizabeth Crowley of the City Council --

Here is the video of the ceremony -- it's a remarkable story.  Here's Part One:

And here's Part Two:

All the award giving and speeches over, Mr. Lubitsch enjoyed the rest of the party!

Many thanks to all who attended.  Mr. Lubitsch brought a lively bunch of friends with him, and their presence was greatly appreciated.
