On Friday, November 20th, The Woodhaven Residents' Block Association was happy to honor St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church which is embarking on a year-long celebration of its' 100th Anniversary.  The awards were handed out at the WRBA's Annual Dinner Dance, at Villa Russo -- and accepting the honor for STA was its' new pastor, the Reverend Frank C. Tumino.  From the souvenir journal handed out at the Dinner Dance:

Presenting the award to Rev. Tumino, was a familiar face to Project Woodhaven readers, our good friend Joe Virgona.  Joe gave the room a quick history of St. Thomas the Apostle.

Joining Joe to present the award, was the WRBA's Roger Hennin.

Amabel Williams, appearing on behalf of Rep. Anthony Weiner, presented a proclamation.

And here is Sen. Joe Addabbo with the good Reverend --

Our new Assemblyman, Mike Miller, presented STA with a citation --

And Elizabeth Crowley of the city council presented STA with this lovely proclamation.

Here, in 3 parts, is the honors given to St. Thomas the Apostle Church.  Part One:
