Welcome to Project Woodhaven . . .

Have you ever argued over which Lewis' of Woodhaven was the best one?  The one by Woodhaven Boulevard, or the one by Forest Parkway?  Have you ever stood in the middle of Woodhaven Boulevard, and wondered how many lights it was gonna take before you could finish crossing?  Do you still have something you won at the St. Thomas' Bazaar?  Do you miss the taste of Carlos' Pizza?  Did you ever get drunk at the Circus Bar?  Or Paddywack's?  Or the White Horse Tavern?

Did you hang out in Forest Park?  Or 60 Park?  Or were you one of the tough druggies that hung out at 89th Street Park?

Do you miss "The Haven"?

How about the Rich-Haven Baseball parades?

Oh, boy ~ we have a lot to talk about.  Welcome to Project Woodhaven, an effort to build an online community of former and present Woodhavenites.  We hope there are people out there that will share our interest in Woodhavens past and present.  Where is it all going to lead?  We don't know.  But we suspect we're going to have a lot of fun along the way . . .

This page is what we have underway, plus a wiki and the blogsd and the discussion board . . . please keep in mind that this is wet paint, it's under construction, and by the time you probably get here, it'll all be ready.  But if you get here in the meantime, all the better . . . you can experience the growing pains with us.
