Ms. DeMarco and Class 4-307 Celebrates Black History Month with a Biography Fair

Ms. DeMarco and her Class 4-307 took a step back and learned of famous African-Americans who have made history.  Students selected their favorite famous person, wrote a biography about them, and then dressed the part.  They shared their stories in class!  Some of the famous people highlighted were President Barack Obama, our first African American President, Jackie Robinson, the first African American Major League Baseball player, Oprah Winfrey, a very popular female African American Talk Show Host, Condleezza Rice, the 66th United States Secretary of State, and Chrispus Attucks, an African American Revolutionary War hero.
