In our last update, we posted pictures from the post-Groundhog Day storm.  For those with an appetite for more Woodhaven snow pictures, we're posting these ones from last week.  These first few we took 2 days after the storm; these are some of the streets that never got plowed or salted.  luckily, it appears the city improved its performance with the latest storm.

This street is a Dead End.  Do these streets ever get plowed?

Seems like they should not allow parking on the corners of some of these streets during storms.  This street (off 96th Street), in particular, has trouble with garbage trucks and on pickup days there is limited parking. Those rules should apply during storms, else they might not get the needed attention.  However, the likelihood of people adhering to such restrictions if pretty iffy.

Here's one off of Atlantic and 97th Street that is far too narrow for a plow, unless it was one of those really small ones.

The next storm, more than a dusting - streets sometimes providing better footing than sidewalks.  This woman was struggling up 90th Street with her shopping cart.

The boulevard was a wet mess. Hey, look at the face on the train station -- looks like it's got eyes!

American Legion Post 118 - looking sharp.

A hair salon on 91st Avenue.  Looks like Justin Beiber peeking out above that car.

We posted this picture on our Facebook Page - Whiting Square -- except that we digitally removed the wires that were blocking the view of the flag pole.  Look at how many people use this spot as a U-Turn on 91st Avenue!

Snow started up again as darkness fell.

The path through the woods leading to Strack Pond.

Benches along the Brooklyn-Queens Greenway (Forest Park Drive).  The Forest Park Carousel is just barely visible in the distance.

A better shot of the carousel in the background.  It was a very cold wind that was blowing as we walked around the park taking these pictures.

The chess tables in Forest Park.

Cold and dark in the park.

The playground in Forest Park, off Woodhaven Boulevard, near the greenhouse.  On a warmer day, this would be keeping kids cool under a fountain of water.

Another shot of the playground in Forest Park, off Woodhaven Boulevard, near the greenhouse.  Won't be long before kids are sitting in this swing again.

Summer seems so far away sometimes, doesn't it?

The visitor center on Woodhaven Boulevard.  If you look closely, you can see smoke coming from the chimney.

And finally, footsteps in the snow.
