The St. Thomas the Apostle Woodhaven History Club has been working closely with the Woodhaven Cultural & Historical Society on a few interesting projects.  First, they are working on a video about the history of Forest Park. Then they are working on a Woodhaven-themed coloring book for young students. And lastly, they are researching the history of the Wyckoff-Snedicker Family Cemetery (we covered one of their visits here).

Next Saturday (July 12th) the St. Thomas the Apostle Woodhaven History Club and the Woodhaven Cultural & Historical Society will be doing a cleanup of this historic cemetery - volunteers are needed - please email us at projectwoodhaven@gmail.com if interested in taking part.

Earlier this month, there was a showcase for these projects at Oak Ridge, which was very generously loaned out to us for the night by the Forest Park Administration - many thanks to them for this accommodation!

Also, many thanks to Paul Vasiliadis of the Avenue Diner for catering the event.

We had a full-house (you can read more about the event in the South Queens Forum).

Here is some video of the evening's proceedings - each student who took part received a certificate from the Woodhaven Historical Society:

We look forward to the continuation of their projects.  Congratulations to the St. Thomas the Apostle Woodhaven History Club! Here they are with their certificates.  Each certificate was presented to the students by Josephine Wendell of the Woodhaven Cultural & Historical Society (and photographer for Project Woodhaven) alongside STA teacher and project leader Patti Eggers and STA Principal Joseph Carpenter.
