Woodhaven Residents' Block Association Celebrates - 2016   

Each year, the residents of Woodhaven gather to celebrate and honor those among us who have gone the extra mile. This celebration is the Woodhaven Social Event of the Year. The celebration will be held  on Friday October 21st at Roma View Catering (160-05 Cross Bay Boulevard).  The celebration kicks off at 7:00 PM and ends at 11.

The Woodhaven Residents' Block Association is very proud to be celebrating these honorees this year - and they hope you will come out to share this special night with them! The 2016 Honorees are:

Man of the Year – Richard Kaiser

Resident, Volunteer St. Thomas the Apostle

Woman of the Year – Josephine Wendell

Volunteer Woodhaven Cultural & Historical Society

Business of the Year – HealthMax

A Business That Gives Back to the Community

 

Tickets to the celebration are:

$70 for adults (anyone 12 and up) and $30 for children 5 to 11 years old.

This includes a full buffet dinner with soda, beer and wine.  For more information, e-mail info@woodhaven-nyc.org or call the WRBA office at 718-296-3735.

To Purchase Tickets: You can purchase tickets by stopping by or mailing a check to the WRBA office, or by cash or check at one of the upcoming Town Hall meetings. Checks should be made out to the Woodhaven Residents' Block Association.

Our 2016 Honorees:

The WRBA's 2016 Man of the Year is Richard Kaiser, who has volunteered for many years at St. Thomas the Apostle. If you've ever been to the St. Thomas the Apostle Rummage Sale or Flea Market then you know just how hard Mr. Kaiser works!

The WRBA's 2016 Woman of the Year is Josephine Wendell, who volunteers for the Woodhaven Cultural & Historical Society. And as the official photographer for Project Woodhaven, she has taken over 40,000 photographs of Woodhaven since 2009 documenting our community for future historians!

The WRBA's 2016 Business of the Year is HealthMax, 80th Street and Jamaica Avenue. Throughout the year, HealthMax hosts many free events for the community with face painting, hot dogs, music and more!
