It's The Monster Mash at PS 306!

While this weekend's freak snowstorm may have thrown everyone's plans for a loop, the students, teachers and parents outsmarted the weather and snuck in an outdoor Halloween celebration before the snow fell.  It was a little chilly -- but everyone was dressed warm and having fun.

If they got too cold they were serving Hot Cocoa and they also had a hot fire going and burgers on the grill --

And just in case the BBQ got out of hand, there was a fireman nearby to keep things under control!

The parents and teachers were not immune to the fun of playing dress-up -- and they treat the students with love -- check out one of our previous reports on PS 306 --

There were lots of rides and slides -- this was a real nice party for the kids.  And with this cold spell throwing a damper on the weekend's activities, these kids were guaranteed to get some costume time in.

Meanwhile, inside the school they were painting pumpkins and doing other various arts and crafts.

Check it out -- Superman and Supergirl!  And a Dalmatian :-)  Halloween is such a great time and the costumes are so much better now than when I was a kid.  I used to get the 2 piece costume from Lewis of Woodhaven -- the piece that you wore over your clothes and the sharp plastic mask and the rubber band.  Still, it was fun...

There were a lot of great rides for the kids -- this was a terrific job by the teachers and parents of PS 306 -- congratulations on a job well done!

The kids had a great time -- and got lots of goodies -- candy apples, cotton candy, etc.

A great day for the family to come out and enjoy Halloween, have fun with friends, go on rides, do some arts and crafts -- a great day for the kids!

Once again, congratulations to PS 306 for a job well done!   Let's wrap this up with Count Dracula!  Happy Halloween everybody!!
