The Woodhaven Girl Scouts held an International Day Celebration in the basement of St. Luke's. Each Girl Scout selected a country and they were responsible for giving a brief presentation. But before we got to the presentations we were treated to a few songs, handing out some pins, and other Girl Scout activities. For more info on the Woodhaven Girl Scouts, email: pumpkin10380@yahoo.com and please put "Girl Scouts" in the Subject.

Here is a brief video of the celebration -- congratulations to all of the Girl Scouts for a job well done!

The celebration started with the lighting of some candles.

Then, the pins were given out - the girls who received their pins were very excited.

Taking the Girl Scout Pledge.

The Girl Scout song.

The girls gave a brief introduction to their respective countries.

They had a nice ceremony where they built the Girl Scouts logo piece by piece, explaining what each piece meant.

Then they had the final presentations. Some of the girls were a bit nervous - but all of the presentations were done very well and we appreciate them inviting us!
